Illusion of Darkness

Stillness shaken in the darkness,
And yet the darkness is simply an illusion
to attempt to overthrow the Light,
which is ever present and fills all things.

Fully complete creation
Thinking we are incomplete.
That is an illusion
To know that not only the soul,
But also our bodies are beautiful.
Unite the two,
So they are in harmony with one another.
The soul and the body
Fulfill that place of creation
We are called to participate in.

In the Light
We are called,
To participate
In the Light.

We are called
Not to question our existence
But to give thanks for life.
Not just our own,
But the whole of creation.
In the motion
In the stillness
In the joy and in the mourning.

Darkness is not present
Where Light is,
If there is Light
Why deny it’s presence?

In the Light
We are called,
To participate
In the Light.

In the terror
That life sometimes carries,
There is a place of comfort
Through the pain
That can help towards healing.
We are called
To bring that place to others
Not just to bring it,
But to reveal it.

In the Light
We are called,
To participate
In the Light.

Darkness is not present
Where Light is
If there is Light,
Why deny it’s presence?

Are we present to The Truth?

Trained in Time

Why to write the words
that are disposable
with paper,
With ink that will fade
And leaves us all desolate
In the shade of time.
Hard to exist separate
from the reality of others.
In my world time
sometimes stands still.
In my world time
sometimes warps
To the next lifetime
When I’m already old and gray.
When the children around me are all grown up
And life is close to end.
In this life,
Trying to stay in the present
in this current gift
is a challenge.
For I wonder what life has to bring my way.
And in anticipation
I live it already,
But only in a theoretic way.
Only in a time that
Is actually the present.
For if we live in the future
Through our present
Then all will be lost.
For we will lose the present
by only living in the future
And the future will not really
Be experienced,
But rather lost in the present
And when the future comes
If we already lived it,
There will be nothing more to live
Because once the future comes
It will be the present
But we will not be trained
To live in it.
Mourning the past in the present
Also taints the present.
The present becomes the past
And our present is lost
We should hold on harder
To the present
And live in it,
Because we will never
Get the present back
Because it is now
Right now
As I write
And you read
